Rüya Akyol

Rüya Akyol completed her education with honors in Industrial Design and Communication Design at Istanbul Technical University, Politecnico di Milano, and Domus Academy. She developed her design philosophy over many years working alongside Claudio Bellini in Milan and Philippe Starck in Paris, holding roles as both designer and studio director before founding her own practice.

With a holistic approach, Rüya Akyol creates cohesive and refined products and brand identities, shaped by a deep sensitivity to color, texture, and material. Her distinctive style bridges contemporary aesthetics with the warmth of her Anatolian heritage.

Founded in 2021, Ruya Akyol Studio is a Milan based design and consultancy studio offering product, furniture, and spatial design, as well as brand identity, CMF, and art direction services. The studio was selected as the Young Designer of the Year by Edida in 2025, and has received multiple international awards including the Adi Design, A’ Design Award, German Design Award, and Good Design Award.
